Query and Reporting Environment (QRE)  ®

QRE is a business intelligence tool that provides two custom interfaces for reporting and data analysis based on a KB_SQL data repository.  For a limited time, this component is included with your license of KB_SQL.

QRE Professional ® is a report design and execution environment designed for the information technology professional.

• Your investment in existing queries is secure.
  You can design, edit, and deploy queries in collaboration with existing queries designed using the character mode SQL Editor component.

• The data dictionary is close at hand.
  A standard tree control provides easy access to all of the data dictionary elements that you need to access as part of the query definition process.

• Color-coded syntax editor.
  An all new color-coded syntax editor for query definition statements simplifies query development.

• Open your queries using a variety of search methods.
  Your pre-defined queries are presented in a list for easy identification.

• Send output to the printers as configured by your application.
  Your pre-defined printer definitions are accessible so that you can send the report output to the right location.

• Preview it, Print it, send it to Microsoft Word.
  You can browse the report result, send it to a local Windows printer, or save the results into a Microsoft Word document.

• Schedule your reports for later.
  Access the report scheduler to have your reports run on a specific date or everyday.  You can specify the time of day.  You can schedule reports using the custom start date rules defined in your KB_SQL configuration.

QRE Services ® is a programmer toolset designed for the Visual Basic or other environments that work with COM objects.

• Develop a custom reporting tool.
  QRE Services exposes all the necessary functionality to save, modify, and execute KB_SQL queries and reports.  From a Windows development environment, you can access all of the components required to meet the specific reporting needs of your users.

• Access KB_SQL Reporting features via Active Server Pages (ASP) and other web development technologies.

• QRE Professional uses QRE Standard.
